Addendum: Calm..

My son mailed this to me today & I found it beautiful.. we have no idea who to attribute it to:

calm

"A time comes in your life when you finally get it ... when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out ENOUGH!!!
Enough fighting and crying or struggling to hold on. And, like a child quieting down after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.
This is your awakening. You realize it's time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change...or for happiness, safety and security to come galloping over the next horizon.
You come to terms with the fact that you are neither Prince Charming or Cinderella and that in the real world there aren't always fairy tale endings (or beginnings for that matter) and that any guarantee of "happily ever after" must begin with you...and in the process a sense of serenity is born of acceptance.
You awaken to the fact that you are not perfect and that not everyone will always love, appreciate or approve of who or what you are...and that's OK. They are entitled to their own views and opinions. And you learn the importance of loving and championing yourself...and in the process a sense of new found confidence is born of self-approval.
You stop complaining and blaming other people for the things they did to you (or didn't do for you) and you learn that the only thing you can really count on is the unexpected.
You learn that people don't always say what they mean or mean what they say and that not everyone will always be there for you and that it's not always about you. So, you learn to stand on your own and to take care of yourself...and in the process a sense of safety and security is born of self-reliance.
You stop judging and pointing fingers and you begin to accept people as they are and to overlook their shortcomings and human frailties...and in the process a sense of peace and contentment is born of forgiveness.
You realize that much of the way you view yourself, and the world around you, is as a result of all the messages and opinions that have been ingrained into your psyche. And you begin to sift through all the junk you've been fed about how you should behave, how you should look, how much you should weigh, what you should wear, what you should do for a living, how much money you should make, what you should drive, how and where you should live, who you should marry, the importance of having and raising children, and what you owe your parents, family, and friends.
You learn to open up to new worlds and different points of view. And you begin reassessing and redefining who you are and what you really stand for.
You learn the difference between wanting and needing and you begin to discard the doctrines and values you've outgrown, or should never have bought into to begin with...and in the process you learn to go with your instincts. You learn that it is truly in giving that we receive. And that there is power and glory in creating and contributing and you stop maneuvering through life merely as a "consumer" looking for your next fix.
You learn that principles such as honesty and integrity are not the outdated ideals of a bygone era but the mortar that holds together the foundation upon which you must build a life. You learn that you don't know everything, it's not your job to save the world and that you can't teach a pig to sing.
You learn to distinguish between guilt and responsibility and the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say NO. You learn that the only cross to bear is the one you choose to carry and that martyrs get burned at the stake. Then you learn about love. How to love, how much to give in love, when to stop giving and when to walk away.
You learn to look at relationships as they really are and not as you would have them be. You stop trying to control people, situations and outcomes. And you learn that alone does not mean lonely. You also stop working so hard at putting your feelings aside, smoothing things over and ignoring your needs.
You learn that feelings of entitlement are perfectly OK...and that it is your right to want things and to ask for the things you want...and that sometimes it is necessary to make demands. You come to the realization that you deserve to be treated with love, kindness, sensitivity and respect and you won't settle for less.
And you learn that your body really is your temple. And you begin to care for it and treat it with respect. You begin to eat a balanced diet, drink more water, and take more time to exercise. You learn that being tired fuels doubt, fear, and uncertainty and so you take more time to rest. And, just as food fuels the body, laughter fuels our soul.
So you take more time to laugh and to play. You learn that, for the most part, you get in life what you believe you deserve...and that much of life truly is a self-fulfilling prophecy. You learn that anything worth achieving is worth working for and that wishing for something to happen is different from working toward making it happen.
More importantly, you learn that in order to achieve success you need direction, discipline and perseverance. You also learn that no one can do it all alone...and that it's OK to risk asking for help.
You learn the only thing you must truly fear is the greatest robber baron of all: FEAR itself. You learn to step right into and through your fears because you know that whatever happens you can handle it and to give in to fear is to give away the right to live life on your own terms.
And you learn to fight for your life and not to squander it living under a cloud of impending doom. You learn that life isn't always fair, you don't always get what you think you deserve and that sometimes bad things happen to unsuspecting, good people.
On these occasions you learn not to personalize things. You learn that God isn't punishing you or failing to answer your prayers. It's just life happening. And you learn to deal with evil in its most primal state - the ego.
You learn that negative feelings such as anger, envy and resentment must be understood and redirected or they will suffocate the life out of you and poison the universe that surrounds you. You learn to admit when you are wrong and to build bridges instead of walls.
You learn to be thankful and to take comfort in many of the simple things we take for granted, things that millions of people upon the earth can only dream about: a full refrigerator, clean running water, a soft warm bed, a long hot shower.
Slowly, you begin to take responsibility for yourself by yourself and you make yourself a promise to never betray yourself and to never, ever settle for less than your heart's desire. And you hang a wind chime outside your window so you can listen to the wind. And you make it a point to keep smiling, to keep trusting, and to stay open to every wonderful possibility. Finally, with courage in your heart and God by your side you take a stand, you take a deep breath, and you begin to design the life you want to live as best you can". ~~~

Law of Permanence

"Law of Permanence -- An entity attains permanence when it remains integrated without the vessel that holds it."

This is the law that says the Soul is forever.
We don't 'die' y'all!
This earthly body is simply the vessel that embraces the soul while here on this plane.
When we transition back to our energy state, or 'home'.. and after a period of time communing w/ our truest soulmates, we reincarnate into new vessels.
I just find that the most comforting & reassuring Law in the Universe.

There is really nothing more that can be said or taken away from this Law. We are permanently attached, & forever a part of, the Mothership.
I recall one of my most spiritual 'Godbumps' moment, while sitting on Bell Rock in Sedona.. experiencing the vortex swoop of feelings.. & only being able to say, 'I want to be a vessel for Good'.
The perception of being a part of the 'space' in the middle of space.. was truly a unique sensation.
The 'knowing' that we are all one in that center of the center.
And that there is permanence in that connection.
How lucky can we get?

WE ARE ONE...What does that mean?

"Law of One (Oneness) -- All that exists is part of God."

"Chief Seattle was quoted as saying, "Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect!"

I found this online and I thought it summed up the law well:

"In Chapter '1', we defined the concept/philosophy of 'Oneness'. Briefly, this school of thought believes that all particles of all multi-dimensional realities are fragments of the consciousness of the Creator. That the Creator is internal not external. Therefore, by this philosophy, the forces of 'Good' and 'Evil' stem from the same source, the Creator. Well, this is not exactly true in the literal sense. At the level of the Godhead, these forces are perceived as different intensities of the same energy. God places no judgment on what kind of energy it is, man is the one who does. Now, perhaps some of you are ready to tear up these sheets! How could God actually create 'Evil', God is perfect? The answer lies in the Law of Free Will, defined as the right for all of God's creations to decide for themselves, how they wish to exist, how they wish to grow and search for communion with the Creator. This Law also implies that each child of God should respect the free will of their brothers and sisters. For God created all his manifestations or expressions of Him/Herself to be of service to each other, since each part, in truth, is an extension of all other parts. Thus, the concept of 'Evil' comes from Man not following the Law of Free Will and pretending that God is not within him. By the Law of Free Will, he may chose any belief system or philosophy he chooses. Since man is a part of the consciousness of God, and has created the concept and performs the action of Evil, then we can say that 'Evil' comes from the creator. But 'Evil' and 'Good' are balancing forces, there is total harmony in the universe because these forces are in perfect balance!"
..."Many great teachers or advanced souls have come to Earth, to remind us of the God presence within and our God-like powers. Jesus said: "Ye are Gods, what I can do, you can do and more!" (not exact, paraphrased). Other teachers like the Buddha or Krishna shared similar messages. As a matter of fact, if one studies, really studies, the roots of all religions and philosophies, you will see they all contain the same basic foundation. Teachers like Jesus were bent to Earth to be examples of the Truth, not to start a new religion. Man did that. When God created his children, he gave them total abundance. He did not conceive that his children would ignore the harmony of His simple laws of Love and unlimited freedom of expression and choose to follow a path of pain and suffering, just by forgetting that they were Divine. God does not want his children to be unhappy. It is man who chooses not to listen to the God within, not to take responsibility for his actions."

The Law of Manifesting.. Voila!

"Law of Manifestation -- The spirit is manifested in the flesh. Only through this manifestation can one come to know oneself."

This 'law' goes along with the fact that we're spiritual beings having a physical experience. And it's my belief that we are 'God's experience' here on earth.
All He/She asks for, is for us to enjoy the ride & be happy.
How many ways to Sunday do we break our necks to do just the opposite?
We self-sabotage, self-dinegrate, & generally become whining-pains-in-the -asses throughout our shortlived lives here.
What about 'Be Happy' didn't we understand?

The second half of the Manifesting Law is creating our reality.
We are the sole managers of our lives here on Earth School.
We are the author, lead actor, & chief critic of the whole show.
Too many times we get caught up in that editing/critiquing area.. forgetting that if we don't like where this play is heading.. WE CAN CHANGE HOW IT ENDS, folks!
A simple rewrite in your thought process.. & voila! the heroine develops wings & flies.
The choice is ours.. do we want a maudlin tear-stained drama (it would shock you how many really, really do).. do we want a light romantic comedy (that's more my style).. or are we creating a stark documentary that just 'reacts' to whatever comes at us?
I know a few who are working on very scary Horror flicks, & I have to watch their lives.. peeking through my hands over my eyes.
Think about where you are in your life's creative process.. what type of stage have you set?
Who are your co-stars (invited by you.. everyone of them!)?
Who are your best supporting actors?
Who is dragging down the whole performance?
Is this a long-running award winning play? Or will it be pulled off Broadway after the 1st night?
Are you manifesting your best?
If not.. use the thought-eraser & give yourself some better lines, better props, better choices.
It's all in you.. you write it!

LOVE

"Law of Love -- Love unconditionally all living things and all spiritual things. Love the essence of all matter. Sending love from the depths of your heart and soul ensures that love will come back to you. The universe will restore your love sent forth. It may not always come back from the one you sent it to; but your love will always be replenished."

Oh I am so lucky to be writing about LOVE. The two emotions that are constantly operating in the world today are Love or Fear. Every thought or action originates in one or the other.

Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance.
-St. Francis of Assisi

You can always tell which you are operating from; one makes you feel good and the other doesn't. One builds bridges and the other destroys them.
Love is the greatest power on the planet that we experience when we are open to receive it. When we give it to another, there is no greater gift. Love sees beyond the ordinary and the ego and permeates the soul. It lifts us up and inspires us to be who we really are. It dreams for us a dream we never believed possible. It heals us and it heals the world. It is the redeemer of lost hope.
When unconditional love is given, it can penetrate any constructed walls of difference. It is the only real thing that exists at the end of this life...nothing else matters.
I will not bring my ego with me, or my need to be right when I transition. I will leave this world surrounded in the love I feel and the love that was so generously given to me.
Love is the true guide to happiness...love is the only thing that matters. Let the rest of it go...

Karma, Karma, Karma

"Law of Karma -- What we send forth into the universe comes back to us.
We reap positive rewards for our good deeds and negative consequences of our misdeeds.
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought, it is founded on Thought, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man acts or speaks with all evil thought, pain follows him as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the chariot." Galations 6:7 "
~~~
If anyone hasn't had to live out this Law of the Universe, raise your hand & be sainted!
As for myself, for every crappy thing I've done in life, something has come to bite me in the a**. And on the upside, for every random act of kindness that I have extended.. wonderful things have presented themselves to me.
I think Jesus was all over this one when he said the main rule was simply to love one another as you do yourself. I sometimes had to turn that around however, & encourage myself to love myself as much as I did others. (There were times in my past when I was much kinder to others.)
Here's a good resource page for Karma:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma
Most metaphysicians believe that Karmic debt is cumulative and that we face it through lifetimes, via reincarnation.
Today, let's send forth 'good' things all around us, & be rewarded with all those nice Karma points. Personally, I can use all the help I can get.
Blessings from a Benevolent Universe!
